Services
I offer a huge array of services, either from my yard or at yours.
On the rare occasion you’re looking for something that’s not listed below, get in touch because if I can’t help you I’ll be able to recommend someone that can.

Backing / Breaking
I have been fortunate to work with some incredibly knowledgeable trainers over the past +20 years.
Everything I have learned and continue to learn, we put into place in our own training. We adopt a no gadget, no quick fix approach with the sole aim of producing each horse and pony with longevity in mind.
It’s extremely important that we strive to make sure each horse is happy, relaxed and confident in their understanding.
It is a huge privilege to work with these wonderful creatures and we are continually learning and adapting ourselves in order to be the best we can be for them.
We can cater for ponies and smaller horses (under 16hh). You’ll receive regular updates and we actively encourage you to come and get involved where possible.

Lessons
I really enjoy my teaching work and love watching my client’s progress.
Their achievements are especially important to me whether that be learning to do a rising trot or win a competition. I believe in treating each person I teach as an individual.
Everyone learns differently, and the ability to think on your feet and be creative is especially important to get the best out of everyone. It must be fun and enjoyable while being educational at the same time.
I am very good at adapting and tailoring lesson plans while we go, which has proved very useful, especially with all the children and young people I teach. Teaching children and nervous riders is my passion, but I’m equally happy to teach anyone who has a love for their horse and a willingness to learn!
I’m DBS checked and have a lot of experience with SEN children. Lessons can be carried out on your own horse at my base or at your yard.

Restarts
Restart horses come through our doors for lots of different reasons, including injuries, bad experiences, general lack of confidence due to accidents, returning to work, and horses whose history is just not known.
In a similar way to breakers, we use no gadgets or quick fixes, and I cannot give you a time frame. It takes as long as it takes. Every horse receives the best possible care and is treated as an individual.
We go at the horse’s pace and spend as much time as needed with each one. Owners are updated regularly and encouraged to come and be involved as much as possible. Building that partnership and establishing trust are among the most important things.
I was very fortunate to work for an incredible man who used to breed dressage horses. He had a unique way with horses, and as such, we had a lot of breakers and restarts when we worked together. I learnt so much from him, and I’ll be forever grateful to him and his wife for the opportunities I was given.

Boot Camps
Of all the services on offer these are hugely popular!
Whether it’s a specific problem you are having, are in need of a tune-up, or are off on your holidays, then we can help!
Our boot camps are tailored to your and your horse’s individual requirements. We aim to make sure your partnership grows with your special equine friend so we do ask that you get involved in the bootcamps as much as possible.
Whether that’s just coming to watch to start or getting stuck straight in, updates are provided throughout, and everything is discussed with you in terms of a tailored plan, work and progress.
We also offer show ring prep mini pampering boot camps before your big day!

Rehab Services
Working with your vets and other team members to ensure the best possible outcome for your horse.
Facilities include a 25m x 55m Martin Collins fibre track plus surface main arena, which is regularly maintained.
As well as a large all-weather turnout pen, lunge pen and plenty of hacking both on and off-road with a variety of terrain and gradients. It’s just a short lorry trip from the gallops as well which can prove invaluable.
Updates are provided and we like to work closely to you and your team throughout.

Competitions
Take the stress out of competing, and let us do the hard work for you. Sit back and enjoy being an owner for the day.
We can do the ‘first times’ for you to help give you and your horse the best experience. Having competed many times at HOYS, RIHS, Windsor, BD regionals, areas and associative championships, we have lots of experience however, we are equally happy to take your horses out locally to unaffiliated competitions to gain experience and for you to enjoy!
We can also accompany you to shows to help you for the day!

Schooling
We offer flat schooling for your horse/pony using a calm, kind and patient approach.
Having ridden a huge variety of horses and ponies from a very young age I’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot of equine teachers as well as training with some of the best show and dressage trainers there are.
Each horse is an individual, and we pride ourselves in working with you and your horse to create a happy, relaxed and confident partnership.

Hacking
We have helped a number of horses and their riders to overcome hacking ‘problems’.
This can include ‘nappy’ behaviour to fear of open spaces and even horses and riders that have been involved in RTA’s.
We try to get to the root cause of the problem and work with you and your horse to create a more enjoyable ride for you both.
